Zone Kar (Murph) 5+ sources
Murph is the most-repeated Somerville and Cambridge answer to “honest mechanic” — “honest and straightforward,” per a 2026 r/Somerville regular.in a 2024 r/Somerville post, a customer says he checked their brakes and said the pads were fine for another 10,000 miles instead of selling a brake job; another says he “always gives it to me straight” and tries to minimize costs, and he will install owner-supplied parts. He has moved: older Reddit threads call the shop Car Zone (166 Boston Ave, Somerville); his own site now lists Malden.
